Mitsubishi Outlander Named “Vehicle of The Year” by Victory & Reseda Magazine
The Mitsubishi Outlander has long been one of the company’s most popular vehicles, and the newest model is bigger and better than ever. With a stunning new look, more comfortable interior, more storage space, and all the latest driving technology, the 2022 model Outlander is now completely redesigned inside and out for a whole new driving experience.
Outlander has Award-Winning Value
The 2022 Outlander was named “Vehicle of the Year” by the online publication, Victory & Reseda. Victory & Reseda evaluated all of the vehicles that they had researched in the past year and consulted with independent experts and automotive influencers to rank each vehicle. They then scored vehicles based on the categories of design, driving dynamics, driveline, comfort, safety, efficiency, technology, and value.
After receiving top scores from expert reviewers, the Outlander was also ranked in the publication’s online reader poll, where it was popular by an overwhelming majority. Outlander got 83 percent of all votes. Clearly, this car is a winner!
An SUV that’s just the Right Size
One reason the Outlander is so popular is because it’s unusual for a compact SUV to have three rows of seating. You get all the advantages of better gas mileage and easier parking, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The Outlander can seat up to seven passengers, or the back seats can fold down to make even more room for your luggage. The Outlander can even tow up to 2000 lbs. at every trim level.
It’s also unusual for a compact SUV to have 20-inch wheels, which gives the Outlander an advantage on rough roads or when navigating unexpected obstacles.
The Outlander is available with front-wheel-drive or with all-wheel-drive. Mitsubishi calls its version of AWD “Super All Wheel Control,” and it definitely lives up to the name in wintery conditions and off-road navigation.
What’s New in 2022?
The most noticeable change to the Outlander is the bold exterior, which is now wider and more angular than before, with plenty of chrome trim. It makes a big impression, both in your driveway and on the road.
The 2022 model represents a new alliance with Mitsubishi and Nissan, and the latest Outlander now shares the engine and the platform of the Nissan Rogue. However, it’s distinct design and interior seating make it a different vehicle altogether.
Previous Outlander models were lacking in fancy tech, but the new 2022 Outlander has updated technology and more safety features. MI-Pilot Assist is an impressive feature that blends GPS navigation, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping technology to keep you safe on the highway. It can even provide assistance with turning and highway exits. You can also set MI-Pilot Assist to keep your Outlander to the posted speed limits. You might just prevent both an accident and a speeding ticket.
The 2022 Outlander also offers reverse automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with active assistance, and forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection. You’ll feel much more secure taking your family on the road.
Outlander now features touchscreen technology, with a standard seven-inch center touchscreen, or a 9-inch touchscreen interface at the top-level trims. Additional optional features include a 12.3-inch driver information screen, a 10.8-inch head-up display, and a Bose sound system.
Impressive Comfort and Storage
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has more passenger and cargo room. There’s 33.5 cubic feet of storage space behind the second row, or 79.7 cubic feet of space if you fold all the back seats down. You can easily switch between traveling with your family or moving furniture. With the 2000 lb. towing capacity, it’s the perfect vehicle to take on a family camping trip.
The seating and interior have been redesigned with new materials, making the drive feel more comfortable and luxurious. The top trims have available leather upholstery with heated seats and steering wheel, as well as a panoramic sunroof. Dual-zone climate control helps to ensure that no one is too hot or too cold.
